Applications for membership
We welcome applications for membership from psychotherapists who are registered in the Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis Section of UKCP or are members of BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council). Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Applicants must be psychotherapists of psychoanalytic and/or psychodynamic orientation and a member of either UKCP or BPC.
- Applicants must have at least one year’s post-qualifying experience.
- Any therapy with an existing member of the GCP must have terminated at least one year prior to the candidate’s joining of the GCP.
- Applicants must have valid professional indemnity insurance.
Candidates who meet these criteria can email the GCP at enquiries@psychotherapyguildfordcentre.co.uk. Your email will be forwarded to the Member responsible for Membership Enquiries.
In certain circumstances, psychotherapists who work psychoanalytically and/or psychodynamically but do not fulfil our current criteria of membership of UKCP or BPC will be considered on an individual basis.
